The fifth annual Maynard Jazz Fest was a resounding success on Saturday, June 13, at Downtown Memorial Park. Nearly 500 attendees joined us for an afternoon of exceptional music, with approximately half of our guests visiting from surrounding towns.

The festival featured a dynamic lineup across two stages. The Maynard High School Jazz Band opened the Education Stage, which also featured performances by Interlude Music and il-legit. On the Main Stage, the Gringo Kings kicked things off with their Latin-Salsa sound, followed by the lively jazz ensemble Subject2Change. Trombonist Brian Thomas and the BT All Stars closed the afternoon on a high note.
We would like to extend our gratitude to those who made this event possible. Legit Sound provided excellent audio engineering, while Amory’s Tomb Brewery and Barrels & Vines provided refreshments. Families also enjoyed the Big Chess set, cornhole and sidewalk chalk activities. Snazzy Sign was selling Jazz Festival T-shirts, cozies and mugs.
This event was the result of nearly a year of planning by the committee: Jenna Dargie, Lynda Thayer, Richard Pepin, Patricia Gately Fanara and Armand Diarbekirian. We also want to thank the Maynard Police and DPW for their essential support.
Finally, we offer a sincere thank you to our sponsors. We are especially grateful to our major sponsors, the Maynard Cultural District and Middlesex Savings Bank. We also thank Summer Street Properties, the Dunkin’ Pesce Network, InSitu, Edward Jones, Rockland Trust, Amory’s Tomb, David French Music, Look Optical, Smoothie King and Barrels & Vines.
We look forward to seeing you next year at the sixth annual Jazz Fest.
