David Mark has been a resident of Maynard since the fall of 2000. From 2009-22 he wrote a column – mostly local history – for the now defunct Beacon-Villager newspaper. Many of his columns were incorporated into three books which are for sale on line and at CVS: “Maynard: History and Life Outdoors” (2011), “Hidden History of Maynard” (2014) and “Maynard Massachusetts: A Brief History” (2020). His column for Maynard Voice will continue to delve into local history.
