October 6

SUMMER ST; The calling party reported that he was filming a YouTube video in the park and someone had harassed him.

October 7:

 DIGITAL WAY; The calling party reported that a dog was left inside of a vehicle with the windows up. ACO was notified. Officer reported that the vehicle was running with AC on. Animal Control Officer was satisfied and the owner of the vehicle was spoken to.

TIGER DR; The calling party reported there was a large drone flying over the Fowler School. Officer spoke with someone working in the area who stated it was a large black and red drone and may have come from Crow Island Airpark. The owner was contacted, and requested to have the drone operator call the Maynard Police Department. Officer advised Vice Principal Snyder. Officer reports according to the aircraft logs the drone was at an appropriate distance from buildings.

October 8:

GREAT RD; Caller reported the listed vehicle tail gating him, then passing him over the double yellow line and then tail gating the car in front of him. Caller advised they had passed into Stow when the truck went over the double yellow line and passed him. Caller transferred to Stow Police.

October 9:

POWDER MILL RD: The reporting party stated that he had video footage of someone attempting to go through vehicles.

October 10:

SUMMER HILL RD; The calling party reported that he observed someone drinking a nip and throwing it out of the vehicle 20 minutes ago. He described the vehicle as a large Lincoln Navigator. Officer checked the area and was unable to locate the litter or vehicle.

October 11:

MILL ST + MAIN ST; Report of a person sitting in a window opening of garage stairwell. Party spoken to and reported taking pictures in the area. Subject being escorted off the premises by security.

October 12:

MAIN ST; A wallet was located on Main Street in front of Maynard Pizza Bar. The owner of the wallet was notified.

October 13:

MAIN ST; The calling party reported that vehicles were speeding down Main Street, including tractor trailers.  Officer spoke to reporting party who said that between the hours of 9:30 and 11:30 he has noticed cars speeding through the area and wanted to express his concern as the roadway is narrow due to the outdoor dining. Party advised Officers would be notified to conduct extra traffic enforcement in the area.

October 14:

BUTLER AVE; Walk in reported having a person on his security camera try his car’s door handle to see if it was open. Time was approximately 04:12 this morning. 

BUTLER AVE; The calling party reported that someone went through her unlocked vehicle last night.

BATES AVE; The calling party reported that someone had gone through both unlocked vehicles in the driveway last night.

CRANE AVE; The calling party reported that her locked vehicle was broken into last night.

CRANE AVE; The calling party reported that their unlocked vehicles were gone through last night, a Bluetooth speaker and set of headphones were taken.

WALTHAM ST; Caller reported his vehicle had been unlocked and someone went through it last night.    

October 15:

SUMMER ST; Stow PD transferred 911 call concerning an erratic operator driving and swerving over the double yellow line. Reporting party advised the male pulled into the listed driveway and hit a parked white car. Officers made contact with the involved male who was then placed under arrest for OUI.

October 17:

POWDER MILL RD; The calling party reported there appeared to be two young girls (7-9 y/o) walking down Powder Mill Road unaccompanied. Officer made contact with the youths, who were much older than 7-9 y/o and were okay.

POWDER MILL RD; An Assabet Co-Op Market employee turned in credit cards located outside their store. A message was left for the involved party and officer returned items to the owner.

SUMMER ST + PATTI LN; The calling party reported that a vehicle backed up into her vehicle and fled the scene at a high rate of speed. A BOLO (be on the lookout) was issued for the vehicle to surrounding cities and towns, special attention Clinton.

October 18:

NASON ST; Officers responding to business for a kitchen motion alarm. Clear, food fell out of a refrigerator setting off the motion alarm.

October 19: 

NORTH ST; The calling party reported his vehicle was stolen during the overnight, the keys were in the vehicle. Fitchburg Police Department and Mass State Police were provided the license plate information. The Fitchburg Police Department and will attempt to locate the vehicle. A GBC BOLO was issued. Fitchburg Police Reported they have the passenger of the vehicle in custody and are in a foot pursuit with the operator.

WALCOTT ST; Calling party reported cat stuck in a tree.

ACTON ST; Report of the listed vehicle driving in the back parking lot looking at the landscaping vehicles. Officers checked the area with negative results. Vehicle located at registered address. Male was teaching his son to drive.

October 20:

CRANE AVE; Serve paper work for License to Carry suspension.

October 21:

Follow Up Investigation and arrest; MSP Crime Scene Services on scene to assist with processing stolen motor vehicle.

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY AND RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY

OCTOBER 23;

CONCORD ST; The calling party reported that there was a woman walking down the Rail Trail with a stroller drinking alcohol. Officer made contact with the individual, and stated it was a ginger ale.

GREAT RD; Several callers reported a motor vehicle accident, car into a stone wall, unknown injuries. The vehicle was removed from the stone wall.

MAIN ST; Mass State Police Trooper spoke with officer and reported that the involved male had reached out to them reporting a similar “brain hacking” by the CIA. Trooper was advised that he had been provided with the Department’s Mental Health Clinician contact information.

October 24:

POWDER MILL RD; Caller stated she left her money in the ATM and someone brought it to the PD. Control called Middlesex Savings on Powder Mill Road and confirmed the money did belong to the listed female.  

October 25

WALTHAM ST + PARKER ST; Walk-In reporting lights at the intersection are not cycling correctly. The pole was stuck and light facing wrong direction. Central Mass Signal was called and voicemail left. Officer attempted to turn light but was unsuccessful.

MAIN ST; Walk-In. Party requesting to speak to an officer regarding harassment via text.

October 26: GLENDALE ST; The calling party reported a black SUV doing donuts in the library parking lot. Officer spoke with the operator.

October 27:

GREAT RD; Caller reported his 60-pound Chow Chow/ Pitbull mix has been missing since yesterday. The dog is black with grey around the mouth and is wearing two collars. Caller has reported it to Stow PD and Animal Control where he lives but is close to the town line and wanted MPD to be aware.

October 28:

DIGITAL WAY; The calling party reported a shoplifter who was refusing to cooperate. Officer reported that Market Basket would send video footage of the incident.

October 30:

DIGITAL WAY; Woman approached Officer stating that he needs to take her cigarettes and that she was going to call the station so we could confiscate contraband she had from the Italians. Woman then ran off towards Market Basket.

October 31:

Several reports of large tree branches down on various roads.  No power lines affected.  DPW notified.

GREAT RD; Report of an erratic operator passing cars and tail gating people. Passed over into Stow and was transferred to Stow PD. Vehicle was described as “brownish grey” Ram pickup with a Mass plate but caller could not read it.

November 1:

POWDER MILL RD + BUTLER AVE; The calling party reported a car has been parked at the corner of Powder Mill Road and Butler Avenue and hasn’t moved for 3 weeks. Got in touch with the registered owner. They are in the process of selling the car but had medical emergency out of the country.

November 3:

REEVES RD; The calling party reported 2 alpacas walking down the road. Animal Control Officer made contact with the owner.

ACTON ST; Cumberland Farms Manager called to report that a woman had been parked at the pumps for 45 minutes, and it was reported to her that she smelled of alcohol. Officers responded and the vehicle had left toward Acton. The Acton Police Department was notified.

November 5:

WOOD LN; The Stow Police Department reported that a male operating the listed vehicle attempted to steal a leaf blower from Aubuchon, was unsuccessful but did cause damage to the item.
