The Maynard Voice Seeks Volunteer Writers: Join Our March 3 Journalism Conversation

At The Maynard Voice, we pride ourselves on adhering to the basic tenets of good journalism: truth and accuracy; independence; fairness and impartiality; accountability and most important, humanity.  We are comprised of individuals who embrace those tenets, and work earnestly to uphold them.

As we grow, we invite like-minded people to join us. If you’re curious, fair-minded and committed to honest journalism we invite you to join us at our upcoming workshop:

Journalism 101 in 90 Minutes on March 3, 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM at The Maynard Public Library in The Trustees Room

Learn about:

  • Asking the right questions.
  • Framing an accurate, compelling story.
  • Finding newsworthy stories in a small community.

These topics and more will be explored in a wide-ranging community journalism conversation for current and prospective Maynard Voice writers.

The workshop will be led by a former journalist whose work has appeared in the Boston Globe, the New York Post, and The Moscow Times

This is a chance to strengthen our shared understanding, celebrate diverse perspectives, and contribute to a publication that reflects the character of our community. If you believe in asking good questions, checking the facts, and writing with clarity and respect, we’d love to welcome you to our workshop and to our growing circle of contributors.

Space is limited to ensure a productive workshop experience. Please register using the form below. If your plans change, let us know so we can offer your seat to someone on the waitlist.

    My apologies
A neighbor just arrived home and told me that the local snowy roads and traffic was too challenging to go out right now.
I was looking forward to your gathering. I hope there will be a encode.
