This English class is for advanced beginners and intermediate level students. The class focuses on everyday words and idioms which students will likely hear in their daily lives. A topic for discussion is offered in each class. Grammar is not emphasized.

This is the April meeting of the library’s book discussion group Book Mill. The group will meet in-person at the library but will also have a Zoom option available for those who prefer to join from home. This month we will be discussing The Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon.

Led by Jenna Feitelberg, a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts representative, this presentation is tailored for individuals approaching Medicare eligibility. Topics include an explanation of Medicare, the Medicare enrollment timeline, Medigap and Medicare Advantage plans, and programs available to early retirees.

Andy Mitzacavitch, long time resident of Maynard, has done extensive research on Maynard’s participation in the Second world war. Come hear the history of the men from Maynard who made sacrifices to our country in service of the war and the many stories that accompany their lives.
