FY27 Operating Budget; Preliminary for review by Select Board

The developing FY27 General Fund budget shows 1.53% revenue growth ($840,531) over FY26. For proposed expense allocations and a balanced budget breakdown, see the documents below.


Public Hearing: Water and Sewer Rate Adjustments

The Maynard Select Board will hold a public hearing Tuesday, March 17, at 7:15 p.m. to discuss town water use bylaws, specifically water and sewer rates. The hearing will be held in person at 195 Main St. and remotely via Zoom. Access instructions will be posted on the agenda at BoardDocs.

Maynard’s Department of Public Works and eight surrounding communities executed an intermunicipal agreement in 2025 to engage in a regional financial feasibility study. The study will determine whether Maynard and interested communities will pursue admission as a new member community to the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority water system, which would provide a permanent connection to the MWRA as a water source for Maynard.
