The Maynard Voice offers heartfelt congratulations to the Maynard High School Varsity Softball Team who captured the MIAA Division 5 State Championship by defeating Hopedale 4-2 at Worcester State University. The June 13, 2026, victory marked the first state title in the program’s history.

The team is led by Head Coach Jay Raschi. He is supported by Assistant Coaches James Carroll and Steve Macfarlane. The title capped an impressive postseason run for Maynard, who finished their championship campaign with a 19-4 record.

Sophomore pitcher Maddy Karlon powered the Tigers, registering 13 strikeouts and an RBI single to seal the win. The team held the Eagles in check, leading No. 4 Maynard past No. 3 Hopedale 4-2 in the state final.
