July 5- Aug 5

Aug 5: 

After a weekslong investigation, 2 women were arrested on prostitution related charges at a business located at 107 Main Street, 2nd floor.  The investigation was conducted with assistance from the US Department of Homeland Security’s Human Trafficking Unit and the MA State Police.

July 31: 

PARKER AND ELM STREET; suspicious vehicle in the middle of the road.   Officer attempted to check on the vehicle which left the area as soon as it was approached.

DIGITAL WAY; Store manager reported an older white male outside possibly intoxicated carrying a shopping bag filled with alcohol. He was stumbling while walking towards to the right side of the building. Party taken into protective custody.

July 30:

EUCLID AVE; The calling party reported an injured duck in the backyard.

ACTON ST; The calling party reported there was a raccoon on his front porch underneath a chair.

SUMMERHILL GLEN; The reporting party stated that someone from a Sheriff’s Department requested that she withdraw $15,000 from her account (which she did), and bring it to the Corner Store. She came to the PD instead and an officer spoke with her. Officer escorted her back to the bank in order to deposit the funds that she had withdrawn and then back to her residence.

July 29:

PATTI LANE; Walk in party reported illegal dumping across from his residence at the above location, 2 large sized trash bags. DPW has been advised.

July 27:

POWDERMILL RD; Caller reported 3 youths on bikes breaking glass by the front door of the listed building. Officers responded and observed youth going towards Sudbury. Acton and Sudbury PD were contacted. Area checked by Officers and area checked with drone. Subjects gone on arrival.

DIGITAL WAY; Calling party reported a woman came into the store yesterday and took hundreds of dollars of sushi without paying for it.  Officer made contact with the party who believed she had paid over the phone and will call the store to pay.

RANDALL RD; Call reported a vehicle dark in color with no plates parked in front of her house. Caller all stated that the vehicle has something dragging under it. Vehicle fled from officer and later located in Acton, abandoned.  Vehicle information confirmed that it had been stolen out of Marlborough.

July 24:

WOODRIDGE RD; Calling party reported a wood chuck had attacked her and her husband and she had hit it with a rake.

July 23:

GLENN DR; Walk in advised she visited her elderly friend every Wednesday at the same time but there was no answer at the house. House was checked and female was transported to Emerson Hospital.

Arrest: DEE, JAMES ROBERT, 19 Nathan Pratt Dr #100 Concord, MA.  Age 48

Charges: OUI-LIQUOR OR .08%

July 19:

MAIN ST; Two juveniles reported they found a debit card on the ground at McDonalds. Dispatch advised the owner that her card was found.

 FLORIDA ROAD; Calling party reported a hot air balloon that was having trouble gaining elevation. Stated the balloon could potentially be in the trees now over Florida Rd and potentially near the police station. Officer reported that he has located that hot air balloon over Mill Pond and it is hanging low but does not seem to be having problems.

July 15:

PARKER ST; Multiple callers reported a tree and wires down across the road making it impassable.

July 13

ASSABET ST; Caller reported not seeing her neighbors in 3 days and was concerned. Mother, father and toddler found having a picnic on the front lawn and checked out okay.

 July 12 

PARKER ST; Walk in party turned in a brown wallet found in the middle of the roadway with an ID and credit cards inside. Notification was made to the owner of the wallet who later retrieved it from the station.

Great Rd; Accidental 911 call

July 7:

Newton PD called and requested assistance with a suicidal male that lives in Maynard.  

July 5:

POWDER MILL CIR; The calling party reported an injured woodchuck behind the building.

Animal control notified.
