August 6:
OLD MARLBORO RD; The calling party reported a group of kids inside of an abandoned house.
POWDER MILL RD; The calling party reported an erratic operator, tailgating and swerving. Officers checked the area, unable to locate.
August 7:
DAWN RD; The calling party reported a neighbor was verbally harassing her each time she left the apartment.
August 8:
GREAT RD + PARKER ST; Officer advises that there is a large amount of kitchen utensils on the island in the listed intersection. Requested a future call for DPW to pick it up.
August 11:
NASON ST; Maynard Outdoor Store reported that there was vandalism on the back of the building and they believed kids were accessing the roof. She is concerned as she found a gas can containing gas at the rear of the store today.
GREAT RD; The calling party reported that several pieces of equipment fell out of a landscape truck into the intersection. He was able to move them into a parking lot. Officer took the items for safekeeping.
August 12:
PROSPECT ST; The reporting party stated that he was scammed out of $150.00 for an apartment rental that did not exist at the listed address.
DAWN RD; Walk in party reported that she located a tracker in her child’s car seat and believes that it was placed there by her child’s father’s girlfriend.
August 13:
MAIN ST; The calling party reported there was a skunk in the basement.
August 14:
ROCKLAND AVE; A cell phone was located by the Rail Trail. A call was received from the husband of the phone owner, advised that it could be picked up at the Maynard Police Department.
TIGER DR; The calling party reported that his bicycle was stolen sometime after 4:30PM. It was described as a grey road bicycle. Officer will attempt to access camera footage in the area.
August 15:
MAIN ST; Pedestrian reported a black Chevy Corvette convertible with a white male operator speeding and swerving over the double yellow line. Caller reported seeing it pass the police station heading towards Main St and Great Road intersection. Stow Police were advised. Officers checked the area to the town line with negative results.
August 16:
MILL AND MAIN; Walk in party advises locating round of ammunition in parking lot by Farmers’ Market. Officer took possession of item. Report to be filed.
RANDALL RD; Caller states he located a deceased rat on his back porch, believed it may have been poisoned.
MAIN ST; Vehicle stopped for unsafe lane change near intersection of Summer Street and Waltham Street.
DARTMOUTH ST; Caller complaining about an ongoing issue with a neighbor’s barking dog. Animal Control officer notified.
MAYNARD RD in Sudbury; 65mph in a 35mph zone, improper passing in marked lanes. Vehicle initially failed to stop. Put through field tests and not deemed impaired. Citation Issued.
August 18:
GREAT RD; The reporting party wanted to report a suspicious person that comes to Eriksons and interacts with her staff.
PARKER ST + GREAT RD; Officer reported that the lights were not cycling properly, and three cycles went through without a green light on the eastbound lane. Central Mass Signal was notified.
August 21:
Arrest: Juvenile, age 16. Stolen vehicle, BB gun/Air rifle possession, Marijuana possession, Breaking and Entering Vehicle
August 22:
DIGITAL WAY; Caller reported an intoxicated male had been pressuring her for a ride in the parking lot. Caller stated the male was approximately 45-50 years old and heavy set. She also stated the male was wearing a white t shirt and dark shorts and holding a beige bag. Caller did not call police until after she left the area and officers checked the area with negative results.
August 23:
MILL AND MAIN; A wallet belonging to the involved party was located at the Maynard Farmers Market. The owner was notified, and will pick it up.
ACTON ST; The calling party reported metal tubing was coming off of a pole that caused her to fall off of her bicycle. Officer reported it contained Verizon wires. Verizon was notified.
MILL AND MAIN; The calling party reported that there was duck with fishing line wrapped around its leg.
DIGITAL WAY; Michael’s Manager requested a walk through of the store after the alarm company contacted him regarding a glass break alarm. Officers conducted a walk through of the store, all appeared okay.
August 24:
MAIN ST; Caller reports a group of men are causing a disturbance, highly intoxicated. No Trespass Order issued to the male party involved. Male parties have left the area.
PARKER ST AND GREAT RD; Caller reported her car battery was dead and she was stuck in the listed intersection. Officers attempted to push the vehicle out of the way and tried the department’s jump pack which did not work. Vehicle stuck in park, unable to be moved. CJ Auto was contacted and tried to jump the vehicle which also did not work. CJ Auto towed the vehicle.
August 25:
NASON ST; Assisted vehicle leaving movie production
ELMWOOD ST; The calling party reported a group of 15 juveniles fighting in the park. Officer reported that all parties left the park and parents were notified.
August 26:
MAIN ST AND GREAT ROAD; Unidentified bicyclist stopped, advised of bicycle laws, and given a verbal warning after proceeding past stopped traffic and through a red light on Great Rd. eastbound as traffic was turning left with green arrow from Main St.
MARLBORO ST: Calling party wanted to speak to an officer regarding an individual that approached his home and was looking around his vehicle. No reported damage. He does have ring camera footage of the incident. Officer reviewed video and determined not suspicious.
August 27:
WALTHAM ST; Caller reported a brown bull dog with white feet walking into the store. Animal Control Officer advised.
August 28:
MAPLE ST; Caller reported seeing a male in front of his house who looked intoxicated. Male described as in his 60s, 5’9, 160 pounds, gray hair wearing a black hoodie and jeans. Male placed into protective custody.
August 30:
GREAT RD: The calling party reported an erratic operator (swerving, using cell phone and tailgating) on Route 117. Officer located the operator, no signs of impairment. He was advised.
ACTON ST; The calling party reported two individuals stopped in the road yelling at each other on Acton Street causing a traffic backup. The caller was unable to provide a description of the vehicles or license plates and stated they left the area prior to dispatch.
MAIN ST; Person speaks to officers about questions he had regarding legality of pocket knife length. Male was advised that items were not illegal.
OLD MARLBORO RD; Caller reported hearing people at the listed abandoned building. Officer advised there was an open door on arrival. House searched and nothing out of order. Door secured prior to clearing.
August 31:
MAIN ST; Stopped for marked lanes violation, and negligent operation. Officer performed Field Sobriety Test with Acton PD officers. Male placed into custody and transported back to Maynard PD. Acton PD contacted International Towing for the listed vehicle.
MARLBORO ST; The calling party reported that her neighbor is often sitting in her vehicle for long hours running the vehicle, and she was concerned as well as the vehicle noise is disruptive. Officer reported that she was okay and she was advised about running the vehicle.
MAIN ST; Walk in spoke to officer about Uber charge she thought was fraudulent. Determined she lives in Concord and Uber ride was in Concord, and she came to Maynard because Maynard Officers are more helpful. Party advised does not appear to be a double charge, one charge is pending. Will follow up with Concord Police if determined there is an issue.
September 1:
GARDEN WAY; 911 caller advised he received a text from a number at 4 AM advising they have his lost cat he had posted about on a local social media site. Caller demanded $50 to return the cat. Officer responded to speak to the male. It was determined to be a scam as the number came back to a business in Washington state. Male advised to block the number. Animal Control Officer is already aware of the missing pet.
AMORY AVE; The calling party reported that a neighbor was being attacked by her dog. The Fire Department was notified. Acton Ambulance responded for mutual aid. Animal Control Officer was notified and responded to the scene. Owner of the two dogs attempted to get between them when they were fighting. Dogs were no longer fighting when Officers arrived on scene.
MAIN ST; The involved juveniles walked into the lobby and stated that they had been involved in an incident in Hudson last night and had hidden from the police. Officer notified Hudson Police Department, and they were advised to go to the Hudson Police Department.
September 2:
DAWN RD;
MA Dept of Children and Families employee advises that the listed male’s daughter contacted them advising her he had 4 pints of vodka delivered via Uber and he is not answering his phone. Officers responded and advised to start FD as male was breathing but not responding to stimuli. Advanced Life Support started via business line. ALS to Emerson.
September 3:
SUMMER ST; Caller reported a confused male walking on Summer St. Determined to be a male known to the department who had early dementia. Male given a ride home and his mother was notified.
September 4:
THOMPSON ST; Animal Control Officer requested assistance at the listed address with two loose dogs and an open door.
September 5:
PARKER ST; Minuteman senior services requesting well-being check at above location. Involved party did not get their meal today and they have not been able to make contact with them or their emergency contact. Engine 1 reports making contact, checked ok.
NASON ST; Calling party advised there was an older white male possibly 60s or 70s completely naked in the parking garage.
