Fundraiser and Birthday Celebration

Saturday, September 6th, 7PM
Maynard Elks, 34 Powder Mill Rd)

Please join Glenn Koenig on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 7pm, at the Maynard Elk’s Club (34 Powder Mill Road, Maynard, MA 01754) for a birthday bash, dance and charity event for his 75th birthday this year!

There will be a self-serve food buffet and birthday cake for dessert.  There will be an open bar for the first hour, then a cash bar after. Non-alcoholic beverages & juices are provided free.

There will be dancing accompanied by the Arreaux Strings Quartet. At 7:30 PM, a professional caller, Sue Rosen, will teach figure dancing (similar to square dance/contra dance) to traditional tunes. (Children are very much invited to join in and learn this fun style of dance.)

At 8:45 PM, there will be a break, followed by free form and couples  dancing until the party ends at 11 PM. (The quartet can play modern and classic pop & rock tunes on request.)

Please RSVP using this form ( https://www.messagerain.com/birthday-rsvp.html ), as a solid head count for the caterer is needed! Indicate how many will attend (yourself and spouses, partners, kids, etc.)

Please no gifts for the host!  Instead; Glenn asks you to consider donating to one of the local charities, who will be on hand.

(IMPORTANT NOTE: Although an advanced notice mentioned a pot luck dinner, that is no longer the case.  We hope to have plenty of food, including some vegan and gluten free options. Of course, you may bring food for yourself for any personal diet requirements.

Maynard Country Music Festival Poster

The planning team is working feverishly on the preparations for the Country Music Fest on Saturday, September 27th. Ashley Jordan, from Nashville, will be opening and Houston Bernard, winner of 2024 New England’s best country music, will be our headliner. We plan on having the Texas Smokehouse Shak and Amory’s Tomb craft beer serving. We plan on having some fun surprises for all ages and a few selected vendors. T=shirts will be available to order from Snazzy Sign, and a portion of the sales will be donated to the festival fund. Of course, none of this would be possible without our sponsors:

  • Cultural Council
  • Summer Street Properties
  • Capital Group
  • MacDonald Development
  • Middlesex Savings Bank
  • Dunkin
  • Amory’s Tomb

Hope to see you there.
