Maynard’s Department of Public Works (DPW) facility at 38 Winter St. will be open for recycling drop-offs from 8 a.m. to noon on the following Saturdays: May 9 and June 13. Brush chipping is included on June 13, with a $25 minimum fee for small chipping loads. Residents only; no commercial drop-offs or chipping. Credit/debit cards are accepted, or checks can be written to Town of Maynard.

For a list of items accepted at the recycling drop-off event and pricing, go to Recycling Drop Off Center | Maynard, MA, then scroll toward the bottom for the fee schedule.

Curbside yard waste collection is scheduled for May 18–22. Please place leaves, grass, and wood chips in paper yard waste bags curbside by 7 a.m. on your normal trash collection day.

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Drop-Off

If you missed Maynard’s March household hazardous waste drop-off day, you can still drop off hazardous waste at these locations during April and May: North Andover (April 18), Chelmsford (April 25), Natick (May 2) and Andover (May 16). Before heading out, check each municipality’s website for full requirements and timing. Although Maynard has a reciprocal HHW agreement with these towns, they may have timing restrictions, registration requirements, or different acceptable/prohibited item lists.

Mattress and Box Spring Recycling

Maynard residents can drop off mattresses and box springs during the Recycle Center drop-off Saturdays noted above. Cost is $50 per item, so a mattress/box spring set will be $100. Residents can also schedule curbside mattress and box spring pickup through Tough Stuff Recycling at toughstuffrecycling.com or by calling 978-307-4118.
