The Maynard Public Safety and Health Departments will host a free community event, “Grill + Gather,” on Sunday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Maynard Rod & Gun, 45 Old Mill Road.

The event is designed as a family-friendly gathering to bring neighbors together for food, games and activities for all ages. Admission is free.

Activities will include free food and barbecue, yard games, entertainment, crafts, a photo booth and a bouncy house. Organizers say the event will take place rain or shine.

“Grill + Gather” is sponsored by the Maynard Public Safety and Health Departments. Residents are encouraged to attend and connect with neighbors during the midday community event.
