May 1:
HUDSON PD asked if we had a Portuguese speaking officer on duty. Advised that we do not.
May 2:
MAIN ST; Walk in requesting to speak with an officer regarding fraud on his American Express account.
PARKER ST; The calling party reported a brown abandoned house with the black front door being ajar. Concerned for safety. Officer reported that the property was secured and it looked like no one had been inside.
KING ST + TREMONT ST; The calling party reported multiple vehicles speeding in the area, concerned for traffic safety. Officer reported that traffic enforcement would be increased in the area of Concord St and King St.
PARKER ST; The calling party reported that a group of juveniles yelling and throwing items at her windows and other neighbor’s property. All parties and parents were spoken to. No property damage reported and all juveniles were sent home.
May 3:
ACTON ST; The calling party reported receiving a phone call from an unknown party telling her to evacuate her residence, she was confused and concerned. Officer reported that the homeowner’s faulty smoke detector alarm was going off, but has been shut off. Advised to call back if it happens again and we will send the Fire Department.
MAIN ST; Walk-In. Party requesting to speak with an officer regarding a possible B&E at her place of business.
APPLE RIDGE RD; An officer from the Lexington Police Department requested contact be made with the involved party to obtain information for an accident report.
May 4:
DIGITAL WAY; The calling party reported that someone left a tulip on her driver side door while she was inside of the store and she had seen that may indicate human trafficking. Officer made contact with her over the phone and went to Market Basket to follow up on the report. Officer viewed footage on the cameras at Market Basket. The event was not on camera.
DIGITAL WAY; The calling party reported that she hadn’t been able to get in contact with her husband and it was unlike him to not answer. Officer reported that he made contact with the male party, he checks okay, working late and will update his wife.
May 5:
GREAT RD; A contractor for Saint Bridget’s Cemetery reported that a shed door appeared to have been kicked in and a generator was missing.
OLD MARLBORO RD; A FEMA employee reported that a tree stand and trail cameras were located on FEMA property, outside of the fence at the rear of the property. Officer assisted FEMA in removing the items. FEMA will be conducting its own investigation.
WOOD LN; Business Line-Caller reports that an umbrella stolen from his back yard. Unknown time frame. Officer reports that the umbrella was located in another yard and was returned, believed to be due to the wind not theft.
PARKER ST; Acton PD reporting a white SUV with erratic operations-all over the road/speeding up and slowing down. Traveling into our area via their Parker Street to our Concord St. Units unable to locate vehicle in our town.
May 7:
Main ST; The reporting party stated that she cannot find her husband. Officer responded from the Concord Police Department to translate. Officer attempted to make contact with him over the phone without success, Market Basket reported that he was not at work. A BOLO (Be on the lookout) was issued to check on his wellbeing. Officer made contact with the involved male party who stated that he was fine and had been having an issue with his phone. Officer confirmed that the involved party returned to his residence.
May 8:
HARRISON ST; Officer made contact with two juveniles about trash left in the park. Officer reported the juveniles were spoken to and will be returning with a garbage bag to pick up the items.
CONCORD ST; The calling party reported her black and white female cat missing, 6lbs and not microchipped. Animal Control was notified.
May 9:
BROWN ST; The calling party reported an unknown male party sitting on her property. Male party is located sitting when you enter the driveway on the right behind a big rock, near a turn around. Ofc. Howard reported that the male party was sitting waiting for his Uber. Uber came. Homeowner advised.
PARK ST + SHERMAN ST; The calling party reported seeing a B&E in progress at the intersection of the address listed above through his camera footage. Male party wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with tan pants entered through the window facing Sherman Street. Officer reported that units can stand down and that it was the building contractor. No issues. Contractor just entering through window to avoid walking around the house again in the rain.
May 10:
MILL ST; The calling party reported that someone had placed a bench next to the bridge and she was concerned it could be a hazard if a child climbed onto it. Officer was able to move the bench away from the bridge and followed up with the reporting party.
SOUTH ST; The calling party reported something sparking underneath the porch. Command reported wiring underneath the porch had been chewed by rodents. The breaker had popped prior to arrival and all power was shut off to the residence. The resident was advised to contact an electrician.
MILL AND MAIN PL; Officer reported a motor vehicle stop with a gas-powered bike that was on the Rail Trail. 58-year-old male from Stow arrested for Operating Under the Influence and Moped violation.
May 11:
REO RD; Calling party reported that a vehicle with AL license plates pulled up to the park, 4 men exited and urinated near the park. Officer reported that they made contact with the individuals, they were advised.
WALTHAM ST; 911-Caller reports approximately 30 minutes ago male party-white male wearing blue T shirt, black/brown pants- entered the store and stole some items. Manager reports having video. Video of the incident was obtained. Officer reports male party approx. 20 years old. Left unknown direction in a silver jeep. Unable to get plate. Will be searching in the area for said vehicle.
May 14:
GREAT RD; Officer reported a motor vehicle in the parking lot. Operator stated that he’s recently homeless, living out of his vehicle and would be moving to the Planet Fitness parking lot for the remainder of the night.
May 15:
MAIN ST; A wallet was located near the ATM at CVS belonging to the involved party. Officer returned the wallet to the owner at his residence.
TIGER DR; The calling party reported that there were several juveniles operating motorized bikes on the track coming close to hitting people. Officer reported a citation (warning) was issued to the parent.
May 16:
GREAT RD; Officer assisted a child that fell off of a bicycle with a minor scrape. no EMS required. Officer assisted party and provided him with a band aid. Mother was later spoken to and advised.
GLENDALE ST; The calling party reported a fire in the basement of the residence. Engine 2 responded with a Captain and Firefighter. Command reported the fire was knocked down and the residence was being ventilated. Command requested Eversource Gas and Eversource Electric to the scene.
May 18:
TIGER DR; Caller reported an oven fire in the school’s kitchen. The building was evacuated. Engine 1 reported a fire in an oven which was contained. Chief Lawless requested notification to Board of Health and Town Administrator. Command reported that the building was ventilated and students were allowed back into the building.
May 19:
ESPIE AVE; The calling party reported there was an alarm sounding at a neighbor’s house on Espie Avenue. Engine 1 reported that the alarm was coming from a detector in the mudroom with no apparent cause.
POWDER MILL RD; The Wendy’s Manager reported that an elderly male inside of the store was upset and swung a cane at him. Officer reported that the involved party was issued a no trespass order.
PARKER ST: The calling party reported a tree outside her house was hit by lighting and now her basement is filling with smoke and she smells something burning but does not see a flame. Party was advised to leave the house and wait for FD.
DOUGLAS AVE; The calling party reported her outside lights were hit by lightning and now the outlet in her kitchen was beeping. No smoke or fire.
Several down trees and wires reported all over town.
May 21:
WALTHAM ST; The calling party reported that he saw a man laying down on the floor outside in the back at the address listed above. Officer reported male party was awake and was trying to get some sleep.
BALCOM LN; MA State Police requested assistance making contact with a female operator of the listed vehicle who was involved in a hit and run accident on 495 in Lowell.
CUTTING DR; Officer reported that the female owner of the residence signed a consent to search form. Officers responded to the residence with signed consent forms from both residents. The Animal Control Officer responded to the residence. Peter Cavallaro was arrested for several counts of animal cruelty.
May 23:
DIGITAL WAY; A Market Basket employee reported a shoplifter that stole lobster meat, and there is video of the incident.
May 24:
MAIN ST; The calling party reported he is an Uber driver and the passenger is refusing to leave the car. Uber driver had the wrong address. Officer drove the party home.
May 29:
BUTLER AVE; The calling party requested a well- being check on her son, 40 y/o male, who suffers from anxiety and depression. She hasn’t been able to get in contact with him for six days. Fire Department reported gaining entry and investigated. Medical Examiner’s office notified.
May 30:
Several calls from all over town regarding down trees and wires due to wind.
May 31:
GREAT RD; The calling party reported a telephone pole was smoking at the listed address. Eversource contacted. Great Rd blocked off from Percival St to Park St. Ever Source was able to extinguish the fire on the pole. About a dozen homes in the area are without power. The road will remain closed for another 20 min while they replace the part.
