March 2:

PARK ST; The calling party reported a gas alarm was sounding in her home, she stated she could not smell anything at the time and anyone inside would evacuate. Fire Department responded and reported a faulty detector.

GREAT ROAD AND PARKER STREET; Billerica Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident at the listed address involving a Billerica Police Department cruiser, no injuries.

GREAT RD; Wallet found in the street. $150 cash in it. Owner contacted and will be down to retrieve wallet   

March 3:

MAIN ST; The reporting party stated that she was not being paid the correct amount from her employer. Officer advised her.

DIGITAL WAY; The calling party reported a vehicle with hazard lights on in the rotary. Officer reported that the vehicle had struck a snowbank and was not drivable. AAA had been notified to tow the vehicle.

PARKER ST + DIGITAL WAY; A passerby reported the lights were not functioning properly.  Central Mass Signal was notified. Officer reset the lights and monitored for several cycles.

POWDER MILL CIRCLE; The calling party requested a well-being check on his elderly father who is diabetic, has emphysema and dementia. Officer made contact with the involved male party who had been in the shower and he was okay. The reporting party was notified.

March 5:

DIGITAL WAY; The calling party reported someone stole her clothes from her drawer.

March 6:

DIGITAL WAY; The calling party reported a woman who is known to shoplift was in the store. Officer had the store fill out a No Trespass order.

March 7:

DIGITAL WAY: The calling party reported that a male party was acting strange towards other customers. Evviva Trattoria will be filling out a No Trespass order.

SHORE AVE; Call transferred from Sudbury for an erratic operator, crossing double yellow line multiple times.  Officer spoke to the operator who stated they were avoiding a person in the roadway.

March 8:

MCKINLEY ST; Walk In-Party found a wallet in front of his home and brought it into the station.

MILL ST + MAIN ST; Caller upset about a vehicle that is revving its engine and causing a disturbance. Officer reports they are having problems with the clutch and waiting on a tow.

SUMMERHILL GLEN; Caller reports hearing noise/yelling. Concerned for his wellbeing.  Officer reports speaking with that individual and he reports no problems, experiencing a coughing episode.

March 9: 

TAFT AVE; The reporting party stated that her vehicle was stolen last week in Montreal (it was reported to the local authorities) and she believed that her identity may have been stolen too.

TIGER DR; The calling party reported that she located what could be ammunition shells or nails on Tiger Drive. Officer reported that they were for a starter pistol used for track meets. The items were cleaned up.

MAIN ST; Female came into the police station to collect belongings from previous arrest. Female had an active warrant for larceny of a motor vehicle. Female was placed into custody. The vehicle that she drove to the police station is the one entered as stolen. Vehicle was located in National Crime Information Center and Pittsfield Police were notified.

March 10: 

DIGITAL WAY; The calling party reported that a vehicle was driving around the parking lot asking people if they would like maintenance performed on their vehicle and were being very aggressive. Officer made contact with two males who were cooperative and advised not to solicit on the property.

DIGITAL WAY; The Middlesex Savings Bank Manager reported that a male had been coming into the branch refusing to remove his sunglasses and hat, being aggressive and previously drinking alcohol inside. Officer issued a No Trespass Order to the involved party for both Middlesex Savings Bank locations.

DIGITAL WAY; The Semper Laser Manager reported that a male party had entered the store 5X on Saturday and had been making the staff feel uncomfortable by asking for dating advice. Business requested No Trespass order.

March 13: 

DAWN RD; Caller advised that several youths were playing in the area and possibly jumping on the mailboxes, trying to damage them. Anonymous caller also believed one of them may have urinated behind an apartment. Officer spoke with parties all involved. Parties observed to be playing football. Parties stated they were not jumping on mailboxes. Spoke to party that was seen urinating, advised them not to do it again.

March 16: 

PARKER ST; The calling party reported that her vehicle was struck by a black pickup truck with something coming out of the truck bed (unknown plate) that continued on Route 27 toward Concord.

POWDER MILL RD; The reporting party stated that he put down $10,000 for a vehicle and each time he attempts to pick up the vehicle there is an issue. Party advised it is a civil issue and Officer advised party on the process if he is unable to resolve it with the dealer.

March 17:

TURNER RD; The reporting party stated someone stole his lawn mower.

SUMMER ST; The walk in party complained about speeding cars near her house and they have been flipping her off. Requesting extra traffic enforcement.

SUMMER HILL GLEN; Officer checking up on the involved party’s cat while he is away. Officer reports the cat is alive and well.

March 19:

GLENN DR; Caller reported a male in a dark hoodie sweat shirt; tall and medium build was knocking on her sliding door. Officers located the listed male who was known to have an active arrest warrant.

GREAT RD; The calling party reported there were often dirt bikes on Parker Street and the operators were not wearing helmets and not mindful of pedestrians. She requested traffic enforcement before and after school. Additionally, she sees them parked near the Coolidge Park. Officer made contact with the reporting party and he was able to answer her questions about helmets.

WALTHAM ST; Walk in reports that her son was knocked unconscious by a wire that knocked him off of his bike yesterday. Officer spoke to the mother in the station lobby and then went to the listed address. Determined to be a cable wire that resident advised had come down last year. The cable is now off to the side and not a hazard.

TIGER DR; 2 car accident with no injuries or tows.

March 20:

GREAT RD + MAIN ST; Officer reported a bird flew into a power line causing a loss of power, no hazard. Eversource notified.

DIGITAL WAY; Officer reported that there was debris in the rotary and requested to notify the Digital Way Property Management for clean-up. Unable to make contact with the involved party, left voicemail. Attempted to call a second time, no answer.

March 21:

RIVERSIDE PARK; The reporting party emailed a complaint that a coyote was coming into her yard and marking the territory and did not seem to be afraid of her making loud noises. Dispatch made contact with her and advised that Animal Control Officer would contact her.

March 22:

PARKER ST; The reporting party found a wallet while clearing leaves from the yard. Officer returned the wallet to the owner.

CHANDLER ST; The calling party called reported a wire down in her front yard with a small flame on it. Eversource was notified.

CONCORD ST; Walk in party requesting to speak to an officer about identity theft.

March 23:

OLD MARLBORO RD; Officer checking a on vehicle parked at the listed area. Officer spoke to the party who was just getting back from a walk.

March 24:

WINTER ST; DPW Worker reported that the involved vehicle was caught on video dumping a mattress onto their property.

Follow up: MAIN ST; Officer advised the involved party to remove the mattress and that he could dispose of it on April 11th, a scheduled drop off date.  

MILL AND MAIN; Officer pulled a E dirt bike over with a minor riding it. Parent came to pick up the E dirt bike and was advised of the law.

GREAT RD + TIGER DR; Officers pulled over a E dirt bike. The operator was spoken to and advised on the laws. Officer will be following up with the parents later.

March 25:

SUMMER ST; The calling party reported that a garbage truck was leaking hydraulic fluid that was possibly getting into the storm drain. Officer requested Fire Department to respond. Officer requested notification to DPW and The Conservation Department. Both notifications made. Engine 1 reported that the driver of the garbage truck was able to stop the fluid from going into the storm drain and the Highway Department was on scene. Officer reported that DPW was satisfied with the cleanup and that the garbage truck will be on the trail on the West side of the road on Summer St.

TIGER DR; Officer reported that the Fowler Middle School had partial power, Eversource was bringing another backup generator and it looked like the school wasn’t going to have power for the rest of the school day.

MAIN ST; Walk in. Party was involved in an incident at Shaw’s in Stow. He was told that the police were being called. He came to Maynard PD instead of Stow PD. He was upset/anxious. Declined any medical attention, and went home with the advice to contact Stow PD.

March 26:

WALTHAM ST; Caller reported the listed vehicle passed her on Main St as she was going over a speed bump and slammed on his brakes. Caller further stated that at 5 Waltham St he slammed his brakes on again and then reversed towards her. Caller located in parking lot of the Corner Store and other involved party on Waltham St. Parties spoken to and advised.

March 27:

PARKER ST; The calling party reported the involved female party was found in the basement unresponsive. Connected to EMD.

March 28:

MAIN ST; The reporting party had questions about disposing of 22 caliber ammunition. He was advised.

March 29:

OLD MARLBORO RD; Juveniles hid behind a car upon seeing a cruiser, nothing appears to be amiss, sent on their way. 

WALTHAM ST; The calling party was transferred from Acton PD. The calling party reported no emergency and only had a question about hitchhiking. He was advised.

GREAT RD; The calling party reported he received a text message saying he had gotten a parking ticket. Was advised to come to the station to have an officer look at the message. Officer took a look at the message determined it was a common scam. The party deleted the message.

March 30:

WALTHAM ST; Store owner found listed male’s wallet with license and credit cards in store and brought it to the police station. Owner was called and notified.

DIGITAL WAY; Sudbury PD transferred a call for an erratic operator. Caller reports the driver drove off the road, hit a curb and bounced back into traffic. The car then took a sharp left into the listed address cutting off oncoming traffic.  Officers spoke to the operator who checked okay, said he lost his credit card while driving. Calling party was notified that we spoke to the operator.
